California's Great Newspaper Battle Is Over

Well that was anticlimactic.

The great California newspaper war between the San Francisco Bay Guardian and the SF Weekly was one of the most venomous and presumably high-stakes newspaper wars this state had ever seen. But it seems to have gone out with a whimper. The two parties have apparently settled on “mutually acceptable terms” after the Bay Guardian was awarded nearly $21 million by a jury in an anti-trust suit. No one is saying what those terms are.
