2Q Losses at Playboy Not as Bad As Last Year
Nudie-mag publisher Playboy Enterprises today posted a second-quarter net loss of $5.4 million, vs. a loss of $8.7 million a year ago.
“The Licensing Group’s strong performance in the quarter demonstrates the viability of our strategy to transform Playboy from a business operator into a brand management company,” said CEO Scott Flanders in a statement. He also said that he expects staff reductions the company made in the quarter to produce annual savings of $3 million.
