Washington Post's Jason Rezaian Sentened to Prison in Iran

#FreeJason

Washington Post Tehran bureau chief Jason Rezaian has been sentenced to prison in Iran, according to reports by the Iranian State News Agency, which included, according to AP, a confirmation by a court spokesman posted on the news agency’s site.

There is no word yet on which of his four charges Rezaian had been convicted, nor the details of his prison sentence. Rezaian has now been imprisoned for 488 days.

Rezaian was convicted in October by Iran’s Revolutionary Court at the conclusion of what the Post and others have repeatedly called a sham trial.
