Should Weingarten Be Advising Journalists?
No doubt there’s much to be learned from WaPo‘s unconventional columnist and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Gene Weingarten. But an advisor of the craft? Could prove to be troublesome.
In recent weeks we’ve seen him use the p-word (that’d be p—y) when tweeting with and about author Buzz Bissinger . Weingarten was trying to show him up, bait him, imitate his raunchy style and acquire more Twitter followers.
Not that these aren’t admirable missions – they are, of course.
