Rumors Abound re: Layoffs at Washingtonian Mag
Last Friday, FBDC was tipped-off to a round of layoffs at Washingtonian Magazine but our requests for comment and/or confirmation were left unanswered.
We ran into the rumors again over the weekend and found that DCRTV also got the tip and reported that they “heard the monthly publication is pink-slipping several employees today, including some who’ve been there at least 20 years.”
Then yesterday, The Media is Dying Twitter feed posted:
“First ever layoffs announced at THE WASHINGTONIAN About 10-15% of the staff was laid off, mostly editorial.”
