Radio One Cans Its D.C. Digs

Radio One, owner of 53 urban radio stations and the would-be anchor resident of Washington’s new Broadcast Center One in the Shaw neighborhood has backed out of the deal, reports the WBJ.

Bad news for the mayor and city who were backing the mixed-use project that received $23 million in subsidies. Radio One did not immediately respond to WBJ‘s request for comment and so far, have offered no reasons for pulling out. Check out the WBJ story for the full scoop.
