Son of long-time WaPo executive editor Ben Bradlee and author Sally Quinn, Quinn Bradlee has teamed up with HealthCentral to launch a social networking site for the learning disabled.
Bradlee is 26 years old and grew up with Velo-Cardio-Facial Syndrome (VCFS). He created the site to alleviate feelings of depression he knows first-hand young adults with learning disabilities go through. He’ll be really involved with the site too- regularly blogging, answering questions from visitors and including personal ancedotes. Bradlee’s also the author of “A Different Life.”
Potomac Tech Wire passes along these comments from Bradlee, “When I was growing up, I wished I could have had a site like FriendsOfQuinn.com where I could meet people like me, since I often felt like I was the only one dealing with a learning disability.”
FriendsofQuinn.com will be celebrated at a launch party in New York this evening.
