CNN’s Jessica Yellin gets candid in a Politico podcast released today about the pros and cons of traveling for work.
Yellin, who used to travel with President Bush isn’t necessarily envious of the reporters who are slated to hit Hawaii with President Obama. “Hawaii is so bad for hair…for a chick to cover anything in Hawaii is unpleasant,” she joked.
On work travel in general, Yellin says, “It’s just heaven. It doesn’t count as vacation time.”
All in all, Yellin says print reporters have a better time than TV correspondents because they don’t have to worry how they look. “If you’re that kind of person you could be up all night…” she says.
