The National Enquirer broke the story today of Oprah Winfrey’s upcoming interview with Rielle Hunter, the mistress to former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.). In D.C., Politico and The Daily Caller (via Radaronline.com) snagged the story at about the same time. At 5:14 p.m. The Daily Caller linked to Radaronline’s story. At 5:22 p.m. Politico was first to verify the news with Winfrey’s Harpo Productions.
