Former NPR President Kevin Klose has been named the new dean of UMD’s school of journalism. UMD’s Diamondback Online says:

Klose will oversee the journalism school as it revamps its curriculum to prepare students for the changing demands of the journalism industry, including a growing focus on digital and multimedia reporting.

Klose also worked at Wapo for 25 years and has co-authored five books.
