Washington publications love one another about as far as they can hurl them across the Beltway.
We’d love to have been in back room meetings when WaPo and Bloomberg PR each discussed the release on co-hosting a Republican presidential debate on Oct. 11 at Dartmouth College. Whose name would come first on the top line: Bloomberg or WaPo? Or is that WaPo or Bloomberg?
In Parker-Spitzer’s case, CNN let the woman, Kathleen Parker, go first in every sense including leaving the network. In this case, both media outlets declared that they’d be leading this dance thank you very much. In WaPo‘s press release, WaPo leads. In Bloomberg‘s, it’s Bloomberg.
You get the picture.
