Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez Set to Join ABC's 'The View'

The long awaited and much anticipated search for new additions to “The View” has finally come to an end. ABC announced Wednesday evening that Nicolle Wallace and actress Rosie Perez will join Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell when the show returns Monday, September 15 at 11am.

“These are powerful and accomplished women from different walks of life who have had amazing personal and professional experiences,” said the show’s new EP Bill Wolff, in a release posted to Deadline. “Each brings incredible perspective and information to the table…This mix of smart, vibrant and energetic women is unlike anything else on daytime television.”

Wallace served as director of communications in the George W. Bush White House and as a senior advisor to John McCain’s 2008 run for 1600 Penn. She was most recently a political analyst with MSNBC and has served in that capacity for both CBS News and ABC News.

“I am honored to join the tradition of compelling conversations that has been the signature of ‘The View’ for the better part of two decades,” said Wallace. “I have watched ‘The View’ for many years and now to be seated alongside three women that I have admired is both humbling and incredibly exciting.”
