Mourning The Loss of Bill Cahir

Lehigh Valley Express Times reports that their “former Washington, D.C., correspondent Bill Cahir has been killed in Afghanistan. Cahir, a Marine sergeant, served two tours in Iraq from August 2004 to March 2005 and from September 2006 to April 2007. He was deployed to Afghanistan this spring”. Cahir ran for Congress in 2008, narrowly losing the Pennsylvania’s 5th Democratic primary. Patriot News profiled Cahir as he and his unit patrolled the streets of Fallujah, Iraq.
