John Geddes Is Headed to Bloomberg

The former NYT managing editor will be U.S. politics editor.

John Geddes, the former managing editor of The New York Times, is headed to Bloomberg, where he’ll be the U.S. politics editor, responsible for the politics reporting team and coverage. He will split his time between New York and Washington.

Geddes had been a managing editor at the Times for a decade–and at the paper itself since 1994–before taking a buyout in 2013.

Geddes will report to Washington bureau chief and executive editor Megan Murphy, and work alongside Bloomberg Politics managing editors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, co-hosts of the recently-expanded-and-not-cancelled With All Due Respect.

Geddes will also be working with BloombergPolitics.com
