Howell: "We're Not Here To Be Loved"

From an internal posting by Washington Post ombudsman Deb Howell, obtained by FishbowlDC:

My column for Jan. 6 is going to say that though while I cringe at venomous e-mail and comments and I take my share every week, that I think it’s time for us to ignore them. They’re not going away and it takes too much emotional energy to fret over them. We’re not here to be loved. I quote a couple of staff members (Farhi and Fisher) who say they’re not bothered by them.
