Yesterday on “Fox News Sunday,” General Martin Dempsey seemed to foreshadow today’s cyber attack on the social media accounts of CENTCOM (U.S. military’s Central Command).
Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told host Chris Wallace that while the United States “generally enjoys a significant military advantage… We have peer competitors in cyber.”
In regard to cyber warfare, however, he continued “we don’t have an advantage. It’s a level playing field and that makes this chairman very uncomfortable.”
Earlier today, the Twitter and Youtube accounts of CENTCOM posted threatening messages to American troops by Islamic State sympathizers. Although
