FLASH: Ted Koppel To Be WP's 'Reliable Source'

Have to say we didn’t see this one coming. Word this morning, independently confirmed by a source at 1717 DeSales St. and an exec in the Post newsroom, Ted Koppel is going to try his hand as the Washington Post’s new Reliable Source.

Koppel will assume the position in mid-December when his contract at ABC’s Nightline ends. Current Reliable Source Rich Leiby will stay on through the end of summer, leaving co-host Anne Schroeder to solo for the fall until Koppel comes on.
