Congrats Julian and Katherine!
Julian Barnes, Pentagon correspondent for the L.A. Times, and his wife Katherine Marsh, managing editor of the New Republic, are the proud parents of Aleksander Edmund Barnes, who arrived Thursday weighing in at 6 lbs, 3 ozs. The birth was so noteworthy that it was mentioned this morning by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at a Pentagon press conference.
