Bloomberg Plans to Cut About 100 Editorial Staffers

Not looking good for its government and politics ventures.

New York Post reporter and former Bloomberg staffer Kevin Dugan is reporting that Bloomberg plans to cut about 100 editorial staff members, according to two unnamed sources. Fittingly for irony’s sake, the layoffs may begin on Labor day.

Dugan reports that a large portion of the cuts are expected to affect politics and government reporters in the New York and Washington bureaus, which have already received their fair share of attention for reports detailing the animosity between the two bureaus.
