The Washington Times added a new opinion writer to their staff yesterday. Cliff May, President of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies and a former foreign correspondent for The New York Times will write a new weekly column called “Foreign Desk.” The hire comes a week after TWT brought on Steve Deace, a conservative radio host from the Midwest.
“I’m excited to be writing for The Washington Times, a venerable and increasingly important journalistic institution,” May said. “I look forward to engaging with the Times’ readers on foreign affairs, national security and America’s role in the world.”
Aside from The New York Times, May has also written for the National Review, the Wall Street Journal, Commentary, USA Today, The Atlantic. He is also the co-editor of a book on the conflict in Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as a book on energy policy.
Congratulations Cliff, and we look forward to reading your stuff!
