Last week we brought you the best media jobs in Washington, D.C as determined by a Washingtonian magazine survey. Well, out this week is a list of the best places to work in Massachusetts, brought to you by Boston.com (and The Boston Globe).
The Boston Globe surveyed hundreds of employees at hundreds of employers to choose the top workplaces. We found the media jobs.
- The top business: Google. Only 337 employees work at the search giant’s Cambridge location and only a few media jobs are currently open there but unsurprisingly, Bostonians raved about the office culture.
- Ad agency Allen & Gerritsen also received high marks. Earlier this year, the agency was ranked the best place to work in media and marketing anywhere by Ad Age. If you can somehow fight off the competition, they are hiring.
- Also, Hubspot, a marketing software company that has been a popular destination for jobseekers since at least last year, was ranked one of the top places to work. Employees said they “always have opportunities to try new things” and that they’re building more than a product: some employees said they felt like they were “changing the world.” Yes, they’re hiring.
- Last, we were totally going to put Keurig in as a bit of a jokethey’re the company that makes K-cup coffee and brewers, but as regular readers of this blog know, media jobs and caffeine go hand in handbut it turns out that not only is Keurig considered a top Massachusetts employer, but the company has a number of media openings. Drinking your own dog food, as it were, has never been more pleasant.
