Erik Wemple confirmed to FishbowlDC that Nell Boeschenstein is leaving the Washington City Paper, but wouldn’t explain why.
This might not seem like ground-breaking stuff, but it very well might be. Some questions:
FishbowlDC: A year from now, what would you have liked to accomplished at the WCP?
Wemple: A Pulitzer, obviously. More investigative stuff. Revival of our arts-biz column, which will happen on June 30. We have a new columnist there–Nell Boeschenstein. She’s a hotshot.
That circumstantial evidence, coupled with the mutterings we’re hearing, suggests that this parting of ways may not have been done on good terms.
First Leonard Roberge and now Nell…Is there some stuff going on at the Washington City Paper that we ought to know about?
Inquiring minds want to know and we want the minds that do know to send us an email ( patrick AT mediabistro DOT com ).
