What Happened Nell?

Erik Wemple confirmed to FishbowlDC that Nell Boeschenstein is leaving the Washington City Paper, but wouldn’t explain why.

This might not seem like ground-breaking stuff, but it very well might be. Some questions:

  • Why is Boeschenstein leaving after only a month on the job and after having moved here from a different city?

  • Why would the City Paper let her go after Wemple touted her promise in an interview with FishbowlDC in June?

      FishbowlDC: A year from now, what would you have liked to accomplished at the WCP?

      Wemple: A Pulitzer, obviously.
