Voices of Haiti Comes to Washington

Voices of Haiti, a multimedia performance examining HIV/AIDS in a post-quake Haiti, will be in Washington for two nights only this month. Voices is centered around the poetry of Kwame Dawes and the yearlong reporting by the award-winning Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting’s team of journalists. The event will be at the Corcoran Gallery of Art Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26. Free performances begin at 8:30 p.m. both evenings.

Voices grew out of the Pulitzer Center’s year-long reporting project involving Dawes, Andre Lambertson, a 17-year-old who lives in Haiti with HIV, and journalist Lisa Armstrong. Voices
