At the US Institute of Peace last evening, “Vice on HBO” screened their season 3 premiere entitled: “Our Oceans Are Rising.” The episode, which will air tomorrow night at 11 PM ET on HBO, presented a bleak outlook on the future of humanity, as Vice CEO and Founder, Shane Smith travelled to Antarctica to investigate its deteriorating western ice sheet, and the irreversible effects manmade climate change will have, and is having, on global stability.

Moral of the story: we’re boned.

When the episode ended, Smith stood up and turned to the audience, announcing: “On that note… Let’s go get drunk!” The crowd, this young and handsome reporter included, obliged him at the afterparty at the Willard’s The Round Robin Bar.
