The WGA East-West Feud: Brother Against Brother

I was going to link to a scan of the members-only letter from Writer’s Guild of America West president Daniel Petrie Jr. which was posted on its website yesterday. Then I realized that the technicalities of the fiduciary relationship between the WGAs East and West are not really of general interest to my readers. So I’ll just skip to the somewhat juicy part which is that WGAe president Herb Sargent is upset that the WGAw used his electronic signature without his permission in a letter to the judge who had been selected by the WGAe to settle the dispute between the two branches regarding how to divvy up membership dues.
