The Ultimate in "Guido" Press Releases

Joseph V. Del Raso, president of the National Italian American Foundation, believes MTV’s “Jersey Shore” portrays Italians in such a guido-ish way that he does not consider it real reality TV.

Amid speculation of a possible second season for “Jersey Shore”, Del Raso expresses grave concerns about the show.

An excerpt of his views (but read it all, it’s well worth your time):

“When “Jersey Shore” first aired in December, NIAF expressed concerns about this program because it clearly attempted to connect “guido” culture with Italian American identity.
