The 'Sh-tty' Coverage

If you didn’t think things could get any sh–tier, you’re wrong. Here’s how some members of the media handled coverage of Sen. Carl Levin’s (D-Mich.) use of the word sh-tty. It’s not former V.P. Dick Cheney’s priceless “Go F–k Yourself” to Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), but ok, it’s pretty good, it’ll do.

MSNBC’s Hardball last night:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Were you surprised that the manure word was used so often today on C-SPAN? I’ve never heard it used before, the “caca” word.

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow show last night:

RACHEL MADDOW: To be a fly on the wall at C-SPAN headquarters when that was going down on live TV today, right?

CNN’s “American Morning” this morning:

KIRAN CHETRY: That has to be one of the most exciting days in a long time down there in Capitol Hill.
