Tango magazine promises Smart Talk about Love. FBLA likes a little less talk and a lot more action, pesonally. The print edition offers Love & Learn by Christopher Hitchens, and a piece by SoCal grande dame of letters Carolyn See, so they must pay decently. (Tango was founded by Andrea Miller, a former financial analyst with Enron.) But the website is whole lot dippier–Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn go sailing. They look great, but articulate they’re not. FBLA got a cavity just reading about them in all their straight white-toothed glory.
MediaPost’s Larry Dubrow dissects what’s so cringe-making about this mag. One of his commentors calls him a cynic–as if that’s a bad thing.
