23half, the company behind the Thrrum MMS Search tool for camera phones, is bringing its technology to T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless users.
Thrrum lets you take a picture of any text you’re interested in and send it to Thrrum (email@example.com) as an MMS. The system will respond with relevant search results. Potential search targets include books, product labels or printed signs. Snap a picture, send it as a message so you can learn more about the author, product or the store whose sign you snapped.
The MMS search service is still in beta and is free to use. It’s been available to Sprint and AT&T Wireless customers since earlier this year. Searchers can either take a picture and send it as a message or download the company’s visual browser.
