Survey Reveals Strong Hiring Numbers For January

As the month comes to a close, according to The Associated Press, a private survey showed that businesses have increased hiring this month compared to December.

Here’s the skinny: ADP said that employers added 192,000 jobs in January. As for last month’s revised number, it peaked at 185,000. (The initial report was 215,000 for December.)

The boost in hiring happened after an agreement was reached on January 1st between Congress and the Obama administration.

The report showed hiring increases primarily came from small businesses with less than 49 employees.
