Do you use Twitter or Facebook to follow your favorite sporting events? If so, you should check out the new SportStream iPad app, which pulls together tweets about games in real time.
The app includes a filtered feed of tweets from fans (of your favorite team and rival teams), as well as from professional players and pundits in real-time during game time. It also sources stats and scores, so you can stay up to date on the action. Follow this link to check out a video demo of the app.
Lots of people are live tweeting about sports in real time. The Associated Press has more: “According to a study by the Perform sports media group, 26 percent of U.S. fans use social media platforms to follow their favorite sports, up from 15 percent in a similar survey in 2011. One-third of those fans say they use Twitter to follow sports, trailing Facebook (89 percent) and YouTube (65) — based on 1,002 online interviews of adults conducted during February and March.”
