  • Columbia Business School went with Coyne PR for counsel on ways to help reinforce its new positioning as the school “At the Very Center of Business”…the Upper West Side.

  • New York’s Affect PR signed three new tech clients: data center solution provider Ascent, business security platform provider Protegrity, and Visier, a maker of cloud-based, data-centric HR tools.
  • Belle Communications of Columbus, Ohio will handle marketing and social media for “Real Asian. Real Simple” frozen meal brand Kahiki Foods. The firm will handle marketing and social for the company, though we’re most intrigued by the fact that Belle describes itself in the press release as an “under 30 female-led integrated PR agency.”
  • O’Connell & Goldberg PR of Hollywood, Florida will serve as PR AOR for its hometown’s Diplomat Resort & Spa. The former Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa was recently acquired by asset management company Thayer Lodging Group, and O’Connell & Goldberg will work to ensure that “a new generation of guests” enjoy its waterfront views.
  • San Francisco’s Stearns Johnson Communications will now be known as UPRAISE Marketing + Public Relations. The rebranding coincides with the signing of three new clients: the ADA National Network, a group that helps governments and businesses implement the Americans with Disabilities Act; Romonet, maker of predictive financial software for data/IT centers, and The Humane Society of Silicon Valley, which helps find loving homes for out-of-work coders.
  • Southwest Airlines tapped Man Made Music, a New York-based firm specializing in sonic branding, to “create the new sound” of its brand. Here’s a sample (lots of clapping and acoustics).
