Rupert Murdoch wants former mayor Michael Bloomberg to run in the 2016 presidential election. At least Murdoch did, before Twitter unleashed its fury upon him. Last night, Murdoch tweeted “With Trump becoming very serious candidate, it’s time for next billionaire candidate, Mike Bloomberg to step into ring. Greatest mayor.”
Later, after several Twitter uses complained about Bloomberg’s well-earned rep of being a micro-manager, Murdoch added “Agree much about Bloomberg, nannystate, etc, but still a great philanthropic executive who, with Guiliani, made NY the greatest.”
