River Phoenix's Final Film Dark Blood to Come Out After 18 Years

Eighteen years after his death, River Phoenix will be returning to the big screen, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Director George Sluizer says he plans on finishing his 1993 film Dark Blood, that Phoenix was in the middle of shooting when he died. Obviously, Phoenix’s work wasn’t complete on the film, or else it would have been released earlier. So Sluizer says he plans to ask Phoenix’s brother Joaquin to provide the necessary voiceovers to finish up the remaining scenes.

“The voices of both brothers are very much alike,” Sluizer told THR.
