Revision3 Inks Deal to Acquire CO-OP
Web video studio Revision3 has signed a deal with the independent production firm Area 5 Media, LLC to acquire the rights to the videogame-themed series CO-OP.
CO-OP, named for a level within the videogame Rez, was originally launched as a podcast hosted by videogame enthusiasts and former 1UP.com critics Ryan O’Donnell and Matt Chandronait. Since the pair lost their jobs at 1UP, the gaming-culture-oriented show has continued out of their homes, with the hosts raising $17,000 in production money directly from fans.
