We’ve all had our fun with Bank Gothic, but isn’t it about time it was put to rest? No, really, like laid to rest. Like terminated. Daniel Mall thinks so, and has crafted these ever-so-clever Typobituaries, declaring an end to several of type’s greatest hits.
It’s a start, says Jason Santa Maria in the comments: “Merely saying a font should be retired is only half the story, you should run a new feature here for Typobituaries where you give some background on a font and then give it a real eulogy.”
We see that and hear “Challenge!” Although we’re pretty sure Jessica Helfand already wrote the eulogy for convicted global assassin Comic Sans.
