He joined the paper’s masthead in November after a stint as chief content officer at NPR. Meanwhile, Sulzberger family member David Perpich is the new senior vice president of product and Paul Smurl is saying goodbye after 10 years to join a startup… The Washington Post decides “to internally transfer or eliminate certain non-Newsroom positions, where appropriate,” while simultaneously touting the 17 journalists it hired in the past three months.
