Politico Hires NY Post Political Editor
Former New York Post political editor Gregg Birnbaum will join Politico in the new year. At Politico Birnbaum will serve as a senior editor, focusing on breaking news coverage. He’ll work from New York but plans to make frequent trips to the Politico newsroom.
In a memo announcing the addition, Politico brass addressed their new hire’s recently tumultuous time at the Post, saying:
“Those of you who follow the media blogs may know that Gregg recently was in a bit of a fuss in New York.
