Peter Farrelly Enlisted to Help People ‘Dream Again’

Here’s a church sermon even an atheist can get behind. To launch its new “Dream Again” series of inspirational talks, the South Hills Church in Corona has recruited Peter Farrelly as its first speaker this Saturday, January 8th.

As in one half of Hollywood’s Farrelly brothers, authors of the comedies There’s Something About Mary, Dumb & Dumber and upcoming biopic The Three Stooges. The free event begins at 5:00 p.m. and will be moderated by Boston Red Sox recruit turned man of God Rex Crain, who also will sermonize separately on Sunday.

Farrelly recently further demonstrated his man-of-the-people mettle at Dan Tana’s restaurant in West Hollywood. He was approached by a fellow native of Cumberland, Rhode Island, who has now raved to a local newspaper about what ensued.

Long story short, Peter Farelly couldn’t have been a nicer guy. He chatted for about 10 minutes, even after his dinner party was called into the main dining room. We swapped stories about teenage life growing up in Cumberland – and we both expressed a desire to come back someday. .. It was good to see that someone like Peter Farrelly – no matter how famous – has never forgotten his Rhode Island roots.
