Pat Sajack Apologizes for Keith Olbermann
It’s been a strange few days for Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajack. It began with a female contestant, Caitlin Burke, solving a lengthy puzzle on the program last Friday with barely a Vanna-flipped letter square turned, prompting folks on the Internet to suspect that she had cheated (she hadn’t).
Now comes a blog post by Sajack himself at Ricochet.com. The game show host wonders aloud how Keith Olbermann, a man he helped introduce to national TV audiences in the late 1980’s, has gone on to become the mercurial MSNBC host of today.
Writes Sajack:
I’m not sure how he [Olbermann] morphed into the bitter-sounding, hate-mongering name-caller he’s become, but I’m sorry he did.
