We were awoken from a Baden Powell-and-Hefeweizen-fueled holiday weekend haze by this bit of news: editor Jesse Oxfeld is out at Gawker. According to a source with knowledge of the site’s inner-workings, Oxfeld was told Friday his contract would not be renewed. The move, first reported by Jossip, is just one in a number of sweeping changes at the buzzy blog network run by Nick Denton.
