OverDrive Adds More Unlimited Access eBooks to its Digital Library Service
OverDrive has just signed a new distribution agreement with Thomas Nelson, Encyclopedia Britannica, Crabtree Publishing, and Lonely Planet. These 4 publishers are joining Liquid Comics in allowing libraries to license a single copy so multiple users can access it at the same time.
Libraries will still need to check out the ebooks, and the ebooks will still expire at the end of the checkout period. Simultaneous access collections are available on an annual subscription basis. Overdrive is adding this new lending option as part of OverDrive WIN, a series of platform enhancements to streamline user experience and provide access to more content.
