Now that she’s a soulless bureaucrat working for the County of Orange, former ace LAT reporter Jean O. Pasco is stepping down as a political pundit for KOCE-TV’s The Real Orange. Taking her place will be OC Register’s Martin Wisckol. It’ll be much more interesting to see who finally takes Pasco’s place at the Times.
Elsewhere behind the Orange Curtain, OCR’s Justino Aguila is leaving his gig as a Latin entertainment and culture writer to pursue a Master of Arts degree at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, adding to the seemingly endless hemorrhaging of talent in OC. How are newsroom folks handling the news? Not well. At least one editor has reportedly stopped talking to Aguila, who’s got a full month to go before he leaves.
