Oh The Nerve: Vodka Co. To Split Profits On Literary Sex Site's Book
Nerve.com announced this morning that Svedka vodka — the vodka of choice for sex-leaning literati — is sponsoring a series of imagined-future articles by literary heavywieghts — Rick Moody, Jay McInerney, Will Self, Joel Stein on the futures market, Ana Marie Cox, Douglas Rushkoff among them — which will become a book. Nerve is splitting the profits with Svedka.
As the New York Times‘ notes, the arrangement is a “continuing sign of the blurring of boundaries between literature and advertising.”
