@NJBurkett: All Local News Is International
One of the upsides(?) of not being prepared to go digital is local news (Storm Watch 7!). For whatever reason we’ve been taking in a lot of ABC 7 Eyewitness News at 5pm this week, which among the usual calamities on Long Island has also been featuring dispatches from N.J. Burkett who is reporting from Israel — apparently he is the only local newscaster there. He is also twittering! Today’s highlight: “More tear gas. I have the flack jacket, but I left the gas mask at home on Long Island.
