Nintendo's New Controller: 13+ Years in the Making

Interesting and getting some buzz around the video game community’s virtual watercooler. It’s a found ad from 1993 advertising a controller by Nintendo that looks remarkably similar to the potentially-revolutionary one everyone’s all aflutter about that’s part of the company’s new Wii game system. Most everyone on the board that initially found the old controller seems to think there’s no similarities, but that’s just stupid when you put the two side-by-side. They’re incredibly similar. Different functions, certainly, but the design for this new piece certainly has its roots firmly in place.
