NBC Local Media Thursday (Feb. 18) launched Feast, a new online destination devoted to restaurant and dining coverage on the company’s local Web sites. New York and Miami are the first two markets to debut Feast, with Chicago and Los Angeles following later this month.
The new segment is part of NBC Local Media’s strategy to offer more lifestyle content across its local market media platforms.
Feast will help visitors answer the perpetual question of “Where to eat?” via blogs; a listings search engine; reviews and ratings (by both professionals and visitors); and content covering the local culinary world. Visitors can participate in the site, create personalized Feast lists or share opinions on Facebook, Twitter and e-mail.
Feast is edited by Ben Leventhal, managing editor of lifestyle for NBC Local Media and founder of the popular food blog Eater.
