Musicians Protest Tonic's Closure

Tonic, the storied and financially-strapped experimental music venue, may have closed, but it didn’t go quietly. A weekend protest/party/concert at the club left two musicians — pianist Rebecca Moore and guitarist Marc Ribotbehind bars. Supporters are holding press conference today at noon on the steps of City Hall “to ask for public and political intervention to protect new music/indie/avant/jazz in New York City.”
