My how a narrative can change. This morning Fox News president Roger Ailes’ employment was steady. Now? Not so much.
Earlier today we noted how James Murdoch and Lachlan Murdoch, CEO and co-executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, respectively, were keeping close tabs on Gretchen Carlson’s sexual harassment case against Ailes. At the time, the info was that the sons—along with Rupert Murdoch—were merely monitoring the crisis. According to New York, the Murdochs have now decided to act, by forcing Ailes to resign or risk getting fired.
In a classic case of a non-denial denial, a 21st Century Fox spokesperson said of Ailes’ situation, “This matter is not yet resolved and the review is not concluded.”
