Bill Beaman, who recently left Politics magazine, has been named a principal at Washington Media Group, a crisis and strategic communications firm launched three years ago by former investigative journalist Greg Vistica (Newsweek, Washington Post, 60 Minutes II). [Note: Vistica’s firm is distinct from the subgroup of Brumar Communications that goes by the same name].
A tipster writes in, “We are reading a lot about no raises at the Post and cuts at Newsweek. Please tell your readers not to forget the Post-owned Gazette papers in the D.C. suburbs. A lot of turmoil there this summer and more to come early in 2009 with a redesign from tab to broadsheet and a second look at the workforce.
